The first ten new e-boards arrived this August. We tested them during the 4th Sunday Quad chess event, which attracted many local and out-of-town players. The top 10 boards were broadcast online.
The competition had a very high rating level. Players and parents could watch David Fitzsimmons (IM) and Maryna Petrenko (WFM) in person as they secured their wins seemingly with ease.
Viewers could watch Franco Brito come very close to winning his quad, only losing on a direct encounter tie-breaker. Two other Kinsale players, Logitha and Ákos fought well in their quads. Both came second against very strong competition.
