We have been awared on 28th April, 2026 a generous fund of €1,400 from the Cork County Council (@Corkcoco) Community Fund Scheme (#CorkCocoCommunityFund application no. CFS793959694) for purchasing 10 electronic chessboards for our club. This development will have a huge impact on organising and even broadcasting our main events, rapid and blitz games. Specially, where recording moves is not required, or it may have limitations, for instance in U8 or U10 events.
Up to date, Kinsale Chess Mates is the first club having electronic boards in all Munster Province. We are planning to extend our eBoard fleet later on if possible to support more not just our local community, but also the whole region.
